What's the minimum quantity I can order?
The minimum order is 100 pins. The reason for this is that certain fixed costs, particularly the cost of making the mold for your design, have to be incurred whether you make one pin or 10,000. So it's just not cost effective to make less.
But what if I don't need 100 pins?
Give some thought to how you might be able to use the extras...as giveaways, selling them on EBay, splitting the order with a friend or another group, etc.
Well, how much do they cost?
That depends on a variety of factors, the main two being size of the pin and quantity. I can make you 100 high quality pins, 1" in size for as little as $195. (That's $1.95 per pin). But as the quantity goes up, the price per pin comes down. For example, I can make you 500 of that same pin for $435, or just 87 cents per pin. In large quantities, I can get the cost down to 50 cents per pin or even less. Other factors that affect cost include size, number of colors and special features. As the size of the pin goes up, the price increases. A design with more than 4 colors will cost slightly more per color. Special features such as hinges, revolvers, lights, faux diamonds, etc, add to the cost. If you already have a design and know the size and quantity you want, email me for an exact quote.
How long does it take to get them?
Most orders are filled within 2-3 weeks once you approve the final artwork. Pins with special features take a week or two longer. Rush orders are available.
What if I don't have a design...just an idea?
No problem. Just tell me what you have in mind and I'll do a "rough sketch" for your perusal. Then we'll go from there.
I've heard that there are different types of pins...cloisenne, soft enamel, domed, etc. What's that all about?
There are a variety of processes available to produce pins, including those mentioned. Your design will dictate which of those is best suited to producing your pins in the highest quality manner. It's a decision the manufacturer and I will make and not one you have to worry about. However, if you want to be involved, I'll be happy to go through all of those options with you once we get your design nailed down.
